I have been teaching for 18 years. I spent 8 years as an elementary teacher of 3rd- 5th grade. Many of those years were looping 4/5th grade classes :) Since then I have been a middle school reading specialist.

In the past few years I have been involved in implementing the RTI process in my building & district. I have been using a variety of reading interventions with my students and learning more and more about how to create my own interventions based on research-based best practices, which also include progress monitoring that matches my instruction.
