By VBU's Helpful Resources I have taught kindergarten ESL, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 6th grade, and college-level Spanish and geography courses. I've taught English abroad in Argentina, and climbing and art to students of all ages.
I want students to be comfortable and have their own style when it comes to most subjects. I believe in providing the tools and having them use them to find their best methods of learning/producing. I love seeing their different writing styles and interpretations emerge!
I was honored as one of the student teachers of the year by the Retired Teachers' Association in Northern Nevada. It was awesome!
I have a B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Geography, an M.A. in Foreign Languages and Literature with specialization in Spanish, and an M.A. in Elementary Education.
I'm bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and have traveled (and continue to) the world! I love teaching and learning. It's such a rewarding profession!
