I have been teaching for 31 years in a variety of states, schools, and grade levels. I have taught in Atlanta, DC, and Missouri. For the past 25 years, I have been teaching 5th grade and love it.
I have don't really have a teaching style that is specific. I change my style all day depending upon what is needed in the classroom and the needs of my students. I enjoy small group instruction, coaching, workshop model, direct instruction, monitoring, cooperative learning, etc...
This past year I was honored to be my schools "Teacher of the Year". It really was quite an honor.
I have a BS in Education with a Masters in Education. I also have completed an additional 30 hours of education in gifted education, reading, and mathematics.
I have a loving husband, two wonderful step daughters, one brand new grandson. We also have quite a handful of critters. We have one Support Dog who is in my classroom each and every day. We also have another released Support Dog at home baby sitting the 3 cats every day. We recently acquired a horse who we are absolutely in love with and are so blessed that he has joined our family.
