TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Welcome to TransitionUP! My name is Brittany and I am a Special Education teacher with fifteen years of teaching experience. I've taught in substantially separate classrooms, in a resource room setting, and have co-taught with general education teachers. I've worked closely with students between the ages of 14-22 on academic, transition, and life skills.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I LOVED teaching but, as a special educator, was always looking for curriculum I just couldn't find. I wanted curriculum that focused on specific skills and allowed for repetition. My students needed to do things again and again. I searched for curriculum that was explicit, engaging, and focused on real skill building, but rarely found what I needed. With three small kiddos at home and a break in teaching, I've decided it's time to make the things I always needed but never had time to make. I'm hoping maybe someone else can use them, too. Happy Teaching!
