TEACHING EXPERIENCE

With my diverse background in teaching physical education and mathematics courses in Ontario, I am well-equipped to provide comprehensive instruction across a wide range of subjects. While I have experience teaching various courses in these fields, I have particularly focused on fitness and PPL courses, where I aim to motivate and challenge students to improve their physical fitness and reach their goals. In addition to my teaching experience, I have also demonstrated my passion for fitness through my involvement as a lifter on the Brock University Powerlifting Team for two years. This hands-on experience has given me a deeper understanding of the discipline and determination required to achieve fitness goals, as well as a firsthand appreciation for the impact that a supportive team environment can have on individual success.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style as a physical education and mathematics teacher is dynamic and engaging. In physical education, I prioritize active learning and aim to create an environment where students can have fun while improving their physical fitness and motor skills. I encourage teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship, and design activities that challenge students at their individual levels. I also believe in the importance of health education and strive to help students develop healthy habits that will benefit them in the long term. In mathematics, I use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities. I prioritize conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills over memorization of formulas and procedures. I encourage students to ask questions, make connections between different concepts, and apply what they learn to real-life situations. I also incorporate technology and visual aids to enhance the learning experience and make abstract concepts more tangible. My goal as a mathematics teacher is to help students develop a positive attitude towards math and appreciate its usefulness in various fields.
