TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Middle School Social Studies has been my main focus. I have 10 years experience in Education. I have left the classroom to be home with my children but still love making curriculum! My last position was teaching 6th Grade Social Studies: North America, South America, and Europe (Geography, History, Government, Economics, Culture) at all levels-- High Ability, Gen. Ed., and Special Needs *Have taught: 7th Grade Social Studies (Eastern Hemisphere) 7th Grade Science 8th grade US History 11th Grade US History HS Psychology HS US Government Remediation English 10 and Algebra I *Indiana Licensed in 6-12 Social Studies (History, Government, Geography) and Family and Consumer Science grades 6-12

MY TEACHING STYLE

My passion is History. I try to get students interested in learning history by being creative yet rigorous. I push my students to improve their reading and writing skills by incorporating standardize testing ELA skills into my classroom. Students also experience creative, fun, and interactive lessons that target various learning styles.
