TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 10 years of experience teaching. Most of my experience is in High School English. I love teaching AP Lang and AP Lit. I have taught English to Sophomores most years but have also taught AVID, College Prep., College Path, Freshman English and Seniors.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My style is always focused on engagement. I know that if the students are engaged behavior problems are minimized. Students who are engaged test better, get better grades, are more fun to be around and make for better adults.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a cancer survivor but I don't like to say it like that. I beat cancer, I overcame cancer, I am not surviving, I am thriving! And that is the way I see the world. I see problems as potential for creative solutions. I see adversity as a challenge, I want people I encounter to know that the problems that they face in their lives are clues about their purpose on this planet. I know that without obstacles there is no growth. I seek to inspire my students and everyone around me.
