For the past 20 years I have worked in education related positions and have strived to develop and deliver pedagogically sound programs. As an environmental and science education specialist I have successful integrated quality teaching standards across all key learning areas, taking my life and work experiences into units of work to not only make connections to student prior knowledge, but also connections to real-life contexts beyond the classroom.
My philosophy is to ensure programs have a sense of purpose. Science is about examining content and making inferential judgments and this has allowed me to use questioning skills in lesson delivery across all key learning areas to engage higher-order thinking skills, connect learning beyond the classroom and generate substantive conversations – all aspects of productive pedagogy models.
Experienced practitioner with a proven track record in developing high quality educational activities which emphasise involvement, experiential learning and thematic understanding.
