20+ years of classroom experience across Australian and the United Kingdom schools. Australian AITSL Accredited Highly Accomplished teacher Creative contributor to core English curriculum content at an Independent School in Australia. Content compatible with ACARA/SACE/HSC/VCE/GSCE and Anchor Standards.

My teaching style is creative and engaging with a focus on discussion and real-world relevancy. I have worked extensively in the past with students who have been otherwise disengaged from their learning and reawakened their childhood love for literature and story-telling. I now have the privilege of working with some of the highest achieving students in the country and work tirelessly to continue to challenge them. These units are designed to complement a variety of texts or thematic units. Many can be paired with more than one text and you are welcome to adapt and change to suit your needs. Most include multiple formal assessment tasks as well as shorter, class-based, or individual activities. Our units are compatible with distance learning in that all pages, tasks, and assessments can be set by the teacher and completed by students remotely with the supporting materials contained.

My shining moments as a teacher have come with those 'A-Ha!' moments with students who arrive at the start of a year disengaged and disinterested in English, but leave the year with a renewed passion or interest in reading, films, language, and writing.

'Of COURSE I Can' knows that busy teachers can only be their best if they are backed up by strong, effective units of work. All of these units have been tried and tested in the classroom and have proven to engage and inspire students to create and analyze in thoughtful and insightful ways. We all have days, weeks, months, terms or years where there is just not enough time to get everything done, including writing full and complete units, particularly for new or unfamiliar texts or topics.
