This Australian Identity Mini-Unit encourages students to document and reflect on their own stereotypes, discuss and debate the issues surrounding race and culture in our modern society, incorporate data and statistics from the 2016 National Census to accurately portray who a 'typical' Australian is, and research a significant Australian identity of their choice. This final task could culminate in either a written, oral, or multi-modal assessment presentation.

  • Australian stereotypes
  • Are they accurate?
  • Ask us anything - Clip link
  • Consider these statistics
  • Significant Australians
  • Review
  • Famous Australian study

This unit includes a set of printable PDF worksheets for students and a NON-EDITABLE Teacher's PowerPoint for in-class or online presentation.
