K-8th grade General Music and Vocal Music since 2001 and a music studio in the evenings for individual piano and voice lessons.

While I could say that I'm a music educator, I'm more apt to say that I teach children! Luckily I get to use music to do it! My main concern is helping kids grow into awesome adults. In my classroom, I am a discipline before instruction kind of teacher, but I also understand that creativity requires a little elbow room. Even for myself, I need structure AND I need room to explore. So, I try to make my classroom a balance of both. As a music educator, I primarily use Orff and Kodaly for day-to-day lessons.

I have a wonderful, supportive husband and awesome kids who are all grown up already! Time goes fast. My kids have even given me two grandbabies and a grandpuppy to play with! How lucky am I :-)
