TEACHING EXPERIENCE

II am currently an Instructional Facilitator and Coach for K-2 students and teachers. I have previously taught first grade for eleven years and gifted and talented for eight years. I provide professional development training in the areas of social-emotional development and creativity for kindergarten through second grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Imagination, pretend play, and creativity have been pushed out of the classroom in favor of filling in bubbles on standardized tests. My goal is to encourage teachers and give them the means to return to what is developmentally approriate for our children.
