I completed my student teaching within an eighth and eleventh grade classroom. After, I taught sixth grade special needs in New York. I moved to Virginia in 2009, and have taught sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and twelfth grade English.
I use creativity and technology to teach in my classroom. I create assignments using movies, music, computer programs, projects, and hands-on approaches to engage the students. I also try and develop lessons that are relevant to students' lives today, and use a variety of skills and modern means to do so. I believe that learning should be as fun as it possibly can be, and I strive to make that possible for all my students!
