By Magnitude Learning Teaching is the family business! My mother has been teaching for 40 years and my sister for 5 years. Teaching goes back several generations in our family. This store combines their ideas and products to benefit all teachers. I have been working in Education for 15 years starting in Physical Education field but developing into classroom based teaching and learning. I am passionate about developing students Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) skills including word processing, basic programming and graphic design skills.
We are passionate about providing activities to students individual needs and extending students. Students need the opportunity to push themselves so they can learn and develop. We are strive to teach students to be independent in skills and develop their life skills as well as their knowledge.
My mother won an Australian National Teachers Award for her ability personalise learning to students needs. She has also been recognised with awards for her work in Environmental Education and Conservation by Keep South Australia Beautiful (KESAB) and NewsCorp media.
I was born and raised in a small country community and completed all my education at an Reception (Kindergarten) to Grade 12 school. My lessons were mostly completed over the telephone as many of my classes didn't have enough students to be provided in the face-to-face context. For this independent learning skills were vital. I hold three University degrees: Bachelor of Computer and Information Science, Bachelor of Media Arts from University of South Australia; and Graduate Diploma for Teaching and Learning at Charles Darwin University.
We love to travel the world developing our own world and cultural knowledge. We have passions in photography, graphic arts and sports. We have been involved in Golf, Volleyball, Field Hockey and many other sports from a very young age. Additionally I have 8 years of experience in the Film and Television field working on many well know national television drama and movies. I love to teach students the skills I learned from these experiences.
