Harmony Day MEGA BUNDLE package - Cultural Diversity, Tolerance, Unity

Harmony Day celebrates that everyone belongs, encompassing cultural diversity, tolerance and individuality. This is a growing bundle of all of our celebration activities include flags, quilt, people and fish. It is held every year on March 21, coinciding with United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

This MEGA BUNDLE combines our four popular Harmony Day activities into one package, providing resources for teachers, educators, community groups or schools to celebrate the day. Each activity allows students to create individual artworks to represent themselves and their cultural diversity, that links together with their peers for a harmonious display.

1. Harmony Day Everyone Belongs Celebration Connected People

Students are asked to decorate a person representing themselves and their country of origin. As the students are designing, colouring and creating they should include their name, the flag from their country of origin and other elements that represent them as a person.

When displayed together it shows students that we are all people (the same) and linked together in the school or classroom but we are all different.

This package includes:

-- Examples of people to show students

-- Blank A4, & A5 templates of patches, including patches with flag outlines

-- Harmony Day– Everyone Belongs people that can be printed and mixed amongst the students people

-- Blank Orange people that can be printed and mixed amongst the student people to highlight the colour of the day

2. Harmony Day Fish - We All Swim Together

Students are asked to design, decorate or colour individual fish to represent themselves, things they like, and/or their country of origin. Students could include their name, the flag from their country of origin and their favourite colour.

When displayed together it shows students that we are people the same but we are all different. Its like the display of international flags at the United Nations.

This package includes:

- Instructions for displaying

- Blank A4 and A5 templates of different types of fish

- Saying on A4 templates

- Saying letters that can be photocopied onto card stock to cut out

3. Harmony Day Everyone Belongs Celebration Flags

Students are asked to create a flag representing themselves and their country of origin. As the students are designing, colouring and creating they should include their name, their handprint and the flag from their country of origin.

When displayed together it shows students that we are people the same but we are all different. Its like the display of international flags at the United Nations.

This package includes:

- Brief information on Harmony Day and links to further information

- Examples of flags to show students

- Blank A4 & A5 templates of flags, including flags with hand outlines for students who struggle to trace their own

- Harmony Day flags that can be printed and mixed amongst the students flags

- Everyone Belongs flags that can be printed and mixed amongst the student flags

4. Harmony Day Everyone Belongs Celebration Quilt

Students are asked to decorate a hexagon representing themselves and their country of origin. As the students are designing, colouring and creating they should include their name, their handprint and the flag from their country of origin.

When displayed together it shows students that we are people the same and linked together but we are all different.

- Display suggestions for patches

- Examples of patches to show students

- Blank A4, A5 & A6 templates of patches, including patches with flag outlines and borders

- Harmony Day patches that can be printed and mixed amongst the students patches
