TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I first started my teaching career in elementary ranging from 1st to 3rd grade. I made a bold leap a few years later into the world of middle school. For the past four years, I have loved the life as an 8th grade Language Arts teacher. I teach three classes that are below level/at risk students along with on level students; and then I have three classes that are advanced/gifted students correlating with the Cambridge Program.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Given my elementary background, my lessons are created to keep students engaged through collaboration, art enhanced projects, and academic choices. I challenge my students and differentiate according to their needs, always building on the blocks they already have.
