I taught special education for Trigg County Schools in Cadiz, Kentucky, one year at the high school level, and seven years at the intermediate (grades 3-5) level . I spent part of my day providing interventions to regular education students. For the past two years I have been the RtI Coordinator/Consultant for Marshall County Schools. I serve six elementary schools, three middle schools, and one high school. I have implemented district guidelines, policies and procedures and have created many forms for this purpose. I have also created a graphing template that can be used by special education teachers and interventionists to monitor progress. These can be used instead of expensive data-tracking software other companies offer.
I believe that all children can learn. I have a passion for providing intervention strategies to children to provide support for core instruction, ensure higher achievement, and to prevent students from needing special education services.
