Kids Create Art

After receiving my Bachelors in Art, I took a teaching job at my children's Montessori School. I taught art during and after school and eventually created my own art education company, Kids Create Art, where I offer classes after school, summer camps, and night for artists programs. In addition to owning Kids Create Art, I work for Florida Virtual School. I am a public school art educator by day and studio owner by night. :-)

It's the process not the product!! I am a firm believer in getting your hands DIRTY! Art is a wonderfully expressive discipline that allows the artist, no matter what age, to explore a variety of mediums and techniques in order to create something original. The process of making that original piece of art is just as beneficial and important as the finished piece itself. I also believe art history is an important foundation for all students. Many of my presentation include featured artists and the lessons include creative works of art inspired by them.

I am the proud mother of 3 wonderfully creative and "original" children ;-P. I was voted Teacher of the year at Sand Lake Elementary School in 2014/15. I received the OCPS and Grand Bohemian Hotel Scholarship Award in 2015 for excellence in teaching fine arts. I am also the author of two children's book. "A Baby Book as told by ME! The Big Sister" is just that. A baby book created to be filled out by the proud big sister. "I've got the Whole World in my hand" is a picture book written to be sung together with your child. I wrote and illustrated this book when 12 years ago using my oldest child's hand print as inspiration.
