Close read activities using both text & art to better understand the creative process and by doing so, improving our own creative confidence.

One of the most overused and untrue statements I hear as an art teacher is:

"I'm NOT Creative". I hear it from kids, who get the statement from their parents, who heard it from their parents, and so on.

My goal with this lesson/unit was to try to help students actually conceptualize the abstract idea of creativity, and use their understanding to help them grow in the art room and in their confidence.
