Hi there, my name is Emma, and I am a primary school teacher who has trained to become a specialist dyslexia tutor.  

  • I create structured literacy resources to use with my own students and now share them with you all here at Kidequip.
  • My mission is to help as many students, teachers and tutors as possible with easy-to-use, evidence-based resources.

  • I recently had one of my articles published in our national SPELD Journal.  This was all about how our brains learn to read!  What an honor!
  • One of my biggest accomplishments has been teaching my youngest daughter (who is dyslexic) how to read and spell!!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Diploma of Teaching in NZ, SPELD NZ Level 5 Specialist Qualification (certificated to teach those with specific learning disabilities). Degree in Japanese language and Psychology.

I am married to an amazing husband with 3 incredible children in the beautiful nation of NZ!
