This scope and sequence is aligned with a structured literacy approach.

  • Progression of Phonics Skills:- A way to track what phonemic awareness and phonics skills you are teaching, from simple to complex.

  • Rhyme awareness and production
  • Initial, final and medial sound isolation
  • Syllable awareness
  • Segmenting, blending and manipulating compound words.
  • Segmenting, blending and manipulating 2 syllable words.
