I began working as a speech language pathologist in 2003. I have specialized training in working with children who have cleft lip and palate and children with autism spectrum disorder. I have worked in schools and private clinics. One thing that really struck me about working in the schools is the super high caseloads and limited amount of time to provide the type of therapy that I wanted to provide. My TPT store is specifically designed to provide ready made materials for SLPs to DECREASE prep time.
I believe that the two most important tenets to success in speech therapy are 1) establishing rapport and trust and 2) being prepared for your session. Having the materials ready and a plan for the session is invaluable. It allows you to proceed with confidence focus on the therapy goals (of course it helps to have the students engaged and motivated too!). I know from experience that school SLPs simply do not have time to prepare sessions, which creates frustration all around. The goal of my store is to do the preparation for you! I also make a point of putting a lot of free things on my page to support school SLPs! :)

I graduated from the University of Florida in 2003 with a Masters of Arts degree in Speech and Language Pathology
I had the privilege of learning from Dr. Riski of the Craniofacial Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for my externship during my time at the University of Florida. After completing my degree, I worked at a Children's Healthcare of Atlanta outpatient rehabilitation site for 2 years, where I increased my experience working with children who presented with craniofacial disorders and velopharyngeal port insufficiency (VPI), in addition to all other speech and language disorders. Throughout the years, I have also worked in schools and clinics. I have become trained in different methods of working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Most recently I have become certified in Autism Movement Therapy (AMT) by Joanna Lara.
