TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught at Hardin Valley Academy (High School) for 3 years. I am now working at Pellissippi State Community College.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that learning mathematics does not mean memorizing steps. Learning mathematics means understanding the "big picture" and being able to make predictions. When I teach, I spend time talking about how the topic is relevant to our study and how it relates to other material we have already studied. If students see the value in what they are doing, they are move likely to understand it.
