TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a former secondary science and math teacher. I've taught life sciences, biological sciences, and math on the Middle School level and Earth and Space Sciences and Meteorology on the Senior High level. I've also spent a few semesters as an adjunct instructor for the City Colleges of Chicago. I am currently retired

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to create lessons and activities that challenge the students and get them involved. Many of my posted and future posts will contain activities where the student will need to create and interpret graphs, calculate answers with a calculator, or formulate a hypothesis.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

During my undergrad years at Penn State, I majored in Meteorology, but also thought about teaching. In addition to my B.S. in meteorology, I also earned an instructional I certificate in Earth and Space sciences. For the next seven years, I served as a Senior high and middle school teacher. Many of the lessons I've posted and plan to post for sale were developed while I was in the classroom. Years later, I went back to Pen State and earned an M. Ed in training and development and finished my teaching career educating adults in the corporate setting.
