TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching music for five years in New York and Delaware. My background is in instrumental and vocal music, but I believe in the continuing relevance of the general music class. I am most passionate about working with students with autism and special learning needs. I have been trained in arts integration methodologies and Responsive Classroom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that learning is an individual endeavor. To that end, I tailor my lessons and materials to be easily adapted for the learning needs of a wide spectrum of students.. While the idea of "learning styles" has been oversimplified and proven less useful, I believe that it is up to the teacher to figure out how each child will learn best.
