TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I served as vocal, keyboard and songwriting coach, choir director and informal counselor to a lively teen choir known as "Lessia's Crew" for many years. During this sweet adventure, I penned songs with insightful lyrics to help my songbirds cope with emotional challenges. My gifted teens eventually recorded our SEL material in a top-notch studio. Backed by an amazing band that included Justin Timerlake's drummer, we had a blast as we learned so much! It melts my heart that the songs and materials I created for my own kids are now helping other young people around the world discover their own voices both inside and out. MY TEACHING STYLE

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was truly humbled when a tween chose my songs as her "hero" for a big school project. One of the Beach Boys asked me to write with him. Obviously, I was tickled pink! Not long ago, a TV series was slated to be written based on my songs and choir. One never knows... Oh, and this is cute... Not long ago, I got a hug from Weird Al. He's very shy. Who'd have guessed? I must admit, most of my 'honors' have been surprises.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

USC's program for gifted students, Curtis Institute of Music, San Francisco Conservatory, Music Academy of the West, Dick Grove Contemporary School of Music. Lesson collaborators: Dru Frick: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, experienced in inquiry-based learning, International Baccalaureate trained. Retta London - see Rainbow City Learning. ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Lead vocals on these tracks include the voice of Jessie Bridges - daughter of actor, Jeff, and Viva Gore - daughter of Martin of the band Depeche Mode. I have co-produced with Alan Thicke and worked in the studio with his youngest son. BP material was featured in a social justice documentary previewed at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. I produced the popular SBTV show, "Enlightenment Stew," often inviting my songbirds on to sing and pontificate. Being a mom to amazing sons has been my favorite adventure. Bullyproof is my way of giving back.
