TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Language Arts teacher with more than twenty years experience teaching High School and three years teaching middle school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to work with visual aids in class. I create posters and charts with cartoons and my oh-so-popular stick figures. I never assume that my students "learned this last year." I review and model for understanding and then move forward to work toward mastery.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Accepted to Mensa in 1991, 1st Place William Paterson Alumni Writing Contest 1998, Governor's Educator of the Year Award 2012

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

BA in Writing and Secondary Education, 34+ graduate credits in American Lit
