TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently teach 5th grade math! I am certified to teach Elementary Education, Middle School Math, and Middle School Language Arts. Previously, I have taught all subjects in 5th grade, 6th grade, and 2nd grade. I have also been involved in several extra-curricular programs offered at my school, including GATE (gifted and talented education), EXPLORE (courses that focus on STEAM education - specifically, coding and engineering), and ACHIEVE (a program to help students that need extra support in reading and writing). Therefore, I have experience teaching a variety of grade levels and subject matters, which has helped me develop into a well-rounded educator.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a supporter of Responsive Classroom and use it to foster a positive student-centered environment. I love hands-on and active learning and try my best to incorporate that into my instruction to ensure high student engagement. I am an advocate for utilizing technology whenever possible, as I find it truly engages and motivates my students to learn.
