TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for twelve years and am loving the experience I get with my students! My teaching posts have been in "Turnaround" or Title 1 middle and high schools. Teaching has never been so difficult as it is now with so many people making our decisions for us every day (many of whom have never even been in a classroom!) I'm hoping to share my ideas with you to make your life easier as you and I attempt to navigate the uncertain waters of English Language Arts education.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to teach with technology, so this school year has definitely been an experience to say the least! I try my best to make learning fun and engaging for my students, and I often attempt to bring some of their language, technology, and experiences into my lessons and activities.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Highly Qualified in English Teacher of the Month November 2012 Cox/Vegas Golden Knights Grant Recipient 2020

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a BA in Secondary English Education as well as a Masters Degree in English. I am currently in school furthering my education so I can keep improving as an educator. I have been working on my second Masters in Education Administration.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I truly love teaching and understand how incredibly hard it is to teach in the 21st century. My only hope with my store is to make your life as an ELA teacher a little simpler. Please leave as much feedback as possible so I can improve my products and add more in the future!
