I have been teaching for the past 12 years. My classroom is fun and engaging... it's a safe and happy space for kids to learn and share. I am especially passionate about elementary math. Over the years, I have collected and conducted research, and I currently provide professional development workshops and coaching for teachers. I work hard to ensure that all my students feel confident and happy at school.
My approach to elementary math is hands-on, concept-based learning. Kids should create their own understanding of math concepts through exploration with manipulatives, drawings, and discussion. I believe that ALL students are mathematicians.
