Hello, Fellow Life-Long Learner! I've always believed that students were a lot smarter than we give them credit for... mostly because they seem to be so creative in the ways they get themselves into the most amazing predicaments. Why not harness that ability with a visual stimulus and make it worthy of communicating? Lets stop being afraid to let the children have disagreements and use that energy to voice constructive ideas! Based on the research for visual learners (65% of our population) and some great ideas I've pulled from here and there... I've created the Skeleton Writer's Block-Breaker! Students of all ages (even you!) can take out your frustration or excitement on a color-model that allows you to quickly ascertain what you want to say and where it needs to be said. "Hey, Essay!" is a formula without a formula (you cannot tell where it is!... but you will easily pick up on the pattern... it's a lot of fun!) Once my 4-year olds wrote their first essay they walked around with pride and one even slept with it under their pillow. My mother-in-law wrote the first essay of her life stating that "these were never in my day - we only wrote book reports". My husband said, "I wish I'd had this when I was in school. I would have really appreciated it." Tim Waters, CEO of McREL has called this model something he and his team wishes that they had when THEY were in school. Take advantage of this while it is still just a copyright for my company... share it with everyone that struggles with writing. Enjoy writing and remember..."Writing is thinking on paper." - Tony Wagner, The Global Achievement Gap
