Description

Fill out a Skeleton 4-Quad (free on this site)and use this image to quickly write your essay by making all the colors match!
Just print, laminate, and use a vis-à-vis or wipe-off marker to begin.
This format is easily used to capture voice and ideas before they slip away... while maintaining organization!
You and your children will easily be able to quickly load the format by following the colors or using the numbers along the side.
Step...
1. The most important thing you want to say
2. The most important thing you want to say reworded
3. Your first reason you wrote #1
4. Your first reason you wrote #1 reworded in your head
5. Your first reason you wrote #1 reworded using a thesaurus
... notice the pattern? Once all areas are filled in (except the lighter colors - yellow, green, and blue) you have reduced your work to about 50% (which is more like filling in post-it notes!)
The lighter colors are explaining, examples, and evidence.
Once you are finished... copy it on a copy machine, wipe the original clean and use it again and again!
Never be afraid of another essay or presentation again!
For use (with interviewing questions) with Pre-K all the way to Post-Grad school - seriously!!
I got students to a point where they could write a meaningful and organized essays (ready for tweaking) in under 5-minutes... no kidding!!!
