From 2001-2006, then 2009-present, I have taught English/Humanities for grades 9, 10, 11, and 12. (I did not teach from 2007-2009 because I was a full time PhD student.) From 1998-2005 I taught for The Princeton Review. I conducted classes in SAT and GRE test preparation. I have a strong record of interdisciplinary collaboration and team-teaching with history instructors.
I use a variety of teaching styles. I tend to blend seminar/discussion, small group work, and interdisciplinary assignments to form most of my lessons. I adhere to the principles of contrastive grammar, writers' workshop, and CPS (Creative Problem Solving).
