This is a song from Sesame Street that I just did with my choir. They really enjoyed singing it, so I thought I'd put it up. The accompanying track arrangement is based on the version Aaron Neville sang with Ernie, but I added a bit of a hip hop

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching music for 22 years. I started out as a full time private guitar/ bass/ piano instructor. I then went into the public school system teaching pre-k through 6th general and vocal music. Later, I transfered to high school to teach music theory and guitar. I did that for about 7 years. I am now back teaching general music and voice to 1st through 5th grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I tend to be very cerebral in my approach to lesson plans and kinesthetic in the classroom room. My main philosophy is that music, first and foremost, brings joy. If that is not happening in my lesson, then it's time to change it.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Received countless drawings, letters of thanks, favorite teacher certificates, gift cards to dunkin' donuts, Christmas ornaments, and hugs from students. One even wrote me a check for a million dollars (I didn't cash it).
