TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 15 years. I spent 10 years teaching 5th grade in North Carolina and the last 5 years teaching 3rd grade in Tennessee.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have spent all of my teaching experience in tested grade levels, so I prepare a lot of my materials with test prep and the CCSS in mind. My hope is that students are adequately prepared to take assessments at the end of the year by familiarizing them with the kids of questions and the level of rigor they may encounter. It is not in me to follow a teachers edition or textbook just because it is provided, so I have created much of the curriculum my team uses to best fit the needs of our learners.
