By Bits and Bytes 6-12 I have been teaching Career and Technical Education courses for 8 years, having taught a variety of technology-related courses including Digital Design, Web Design, Information Technology and other business-related courses.
As CTE instructors, we are tasked with teaching course standards and content that is often highly technical and specialized. It is my goal to teach students these technical skills in a real, practical way that they can connect with. Content should always circle back to real-world application. If students understand the "why" of what they are learning, they are more likely to truly engage and leave class with skills that they use into the future.
