Research Experience • Study on SNPs relating to Ethnicity and Hair/Eye Pigmentation in a population of Texas o Designed assay to target specific areas of DNA that are known SNPs o Analyzed data for correlation between DNA and pigmentation characteristics reported by sample donors • Forensic Examination of Bloodstained Currency from Afghanistan dated 1920 o Tested stained areas of currency found in the Afghan desert for possible blood o Extracted DNA and conducted DNA Quantitation on stained areas of currency • The Collection of Forensic Evidence from Prepubertal Victims of Sexual Assault o Examined reported casework results in cases dealing with alleged sexual assault of individuals aged 13years or less o Compiled data and entered results into study database
