Mock Trial: Mega Bundle

These activities have students working in either prosecution or defense teams in mock trial scenarios. With no correct answer, it is up to either team to convince a jury of their arguments and use the physical evidence and analysis details of the case as well as witness statements. A rubric has been provided with suggested pacing guides for a 45min class period. Additionally, a trial flow helps illustrate the back and forth of the activity for both students and the teacher. I suggest about two 45min periods for teams to be able to compile their opening statements and evidence for their case. Closing statements should reflect what was also said by opposing council - indicating a sense of what was going on in the trial and necessitating a bit of improvisation for students.
