TEACHING EXPERIENCE

With over ten years of teaching experience, I have taught students of all ages and across various subject areas. However, when my passion for history comes together with my love of education, incredible things can happen.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I want to bring history alive for students and help them to see beyond a set of dates and facts. My teaching style involves incorporating ample primary source documents and helping students break them down. When students learn how to tackle tough subjects, complicated documents, and integrate sources from a variety of points of view, they become more capable learners and build confidence in themselves.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I entered education through an unconventional path. Despite majoring in psychology for a B.A., I quickly pivoted into tutoring, substitute teaching, and then teaching through various organizations.
