Amie Scott - The Wonder Co

This is my 11th year of teaching. I have taught Kinder through Grade 6, in both English and French. Currently, I have a wonderful little bunch of Kindergarten French Immersion students. I am also a Registered Psychotherapist (Q) in Ontario, with a love of supporting students' mental health and social emotional learning needs.

As an educator, my mission is to excite, inspire and guide students to connect their learning to their own lives and the world around them in an inclusive environment. I believe that the classroom should be a place where children are encouraged to think critically, develop integrity, question openly and learn passionately. As a teacher, this will involve providing students with the necessary skills, tools and knowledge to support their achievement while also motivating them to be the best that they can be.

Graduated from the University of Ottawa with an honours Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology; Graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Education and a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
