This is an activity I added to my savings lesson for 8th grade Financial Literacy. The students are to shop online to find a car. Then they have to calculate how many lawns they need to mow in order to afford their car of choice. Most end up with a car that is too expensive and on the back, they have to find a new car within a more affordable budget.I really enjoy this activity with my students. They get a good understanding of how important it is to save and how much cars are.
