Graphing Linear Equations Word Problems
In this activity, students are asked to create an equation given a real-world scenario. They must then graph the equation and label the slope and y-intercept. From the graph, students must determine a solution and write that solution as a full sentence. Finally students are asked a question about the graph they created. Included is an answer key that provides sample answers. While each student should graph the same line, their solution points and sentences could be different.
