Grade 7 or 8 Music Lab unit that has worked very well for me. Kids are in groups of 4-5, and will develop a 30-minute broadcast that they will present to the class. Can focus on a year or a decade and will include music from the time period, as well as news, sports, traffic, weather and ads. Meeting every other day, this takes 3-4 weeks to complete.

This is an EAP (Early Assessment Program) unit that focuses on the stages of reading and writing. The lessons get students involved with non-fiction articles by reading, analyzing, and writing about them. This particular EAP deals with the idea of protest songs and would be ideal in English/Language Arts classes, History/Social Studies classes, and even in Music classes.

Is It I? A Lenten Chancel Drama in pantomime for Holy Week
This is a Lenten skit that can be done by children or adults. Everything is done in pantomime along with audience participation for the dialogue. The skit gives the audience the feel of accountability for the crucifixion of Jesus.
