I have developed The Global Impact Project for use in my tech class this past year. This lesson focuses heavily on students using the 5C's of technology: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Digital Citizenship, & Critical Thinking.
This is a perfect lesson to incorporate if your district is going 1:1, or already there. I geared this more towards iPads, which is what my students use, however, since this lesson relies so much on the 5C model, it could work easily with other devices

No Fear The Great Gatsby Chapter 1
Last year, I worked to put together a "No Fear Gatsby" (much like No Fear Shakespeare) to help my students unpack the contents of the novel. I found that when allowing them access to the bigger picture, they were then able to enjoy the book more, and create their own ideas based off of the information that was given to them.
