Dramatizing poetry with students gives them the opportunity to experience language with their whole selves. Poetry has often been viewed as something boring or something that has to rhyme. In this lesson, students are up on their feet doing a warm-up exercise that prepares them to become anything in a poem and then moving seamlessly into the dramatizing poetry.
