This project was created for my high school digital photography class. Students use digital cameras to take pictures of numbers in the environment around them such as at home or at school. Students can take photos of a series of numbers such as 1-10 or 1-20 or a more creative series of numbers such as their phone numbers or zip code. Students then download the photos onto a computer and use a photo editing program such as iPhoto or Photoshop Elements (or an online program like picmonkey.com)

Through introspection a student of any age can gain insight and clarity through the technique of fire writing. It opens up a place for them to develop many different facets of writing. It also gives them a sanctuary for emotional release. But the most valuable benefit is hidden because it allows them through self analysis to begin to self edit.
