Comprehension Assessment Reading test
I use the CARS pre-test as a way to identify strategies that my students are lacking at the beginning of the year. Once these strategies have been identified and the 5 pre-test for their grade level is complete I will have students review the skills they scored a 2, 1 or 0. Students will use this data sheet tor reflect on these skills and what they can work on for the school year.

Guided Reading Planning and Recording Forms
This is a great tool to use when planning a guided reading lesson. I used it with my First Graders when planning and during our guided reading time. It is great because you can print it on one page back to back and file in a Guided Reading binder. Everything from that lesson is all on one page, including students' progress and next steps.
