Natural Disasters Research
Students will get to see a brief intro to several different natural disasters. Students will then be placed into groups and will have to research one of the natural disasters. Students will find out: what it is, how they occur, where they occur, when they occur, create a glossary of terms that correlate, and include illustrations.

Biomes Google Slides Research Project
This product includes a page for students to answer specific research questions as well as kid-safe websites to use for their research. This is a great way for a quick hands on learning opportunity rather than just teaching about each individual Biome. The second page includes a grading rubric used to assess their presentation for up to 40 points. This could also be used to grade on a scale rather than for points.

Specifically this Graphic Organizer I made for the article in the 4th grade Environments Text "Human Activities and Aquatic Ecosystems" pages 42-45 (NGSS version). I typed it two up on a page to be glued into Science Journals. It is in MS word so you can edit as you wish. ANSWER KEY INCLUDED. Lesson Plan - Prairie Plants
In this lesson plan, students learn about different categories of prairie plants and investigate the natural and cultural history of wildflowers. Teachers will present an informative powerpoint about wildflowers in the Flint Hills. Students will independently research individual wildflowers and present their information orally to the class.At the conclusion of the reports, students will play a game of plant recognition.
