Florida Freshwater Springs and an Ecotourism Activity
Students will read about Florida's Springs. They will then use their knowledge of metric measurement to find values on a ruler that represent the average discharge of water for a sampling of 15 first magnitude springs.
Students will research the top 15 springs and determine which one they would like to base an ecotourism business. Students will learn the importance of sustainable business by practicing in such a manner that the environment is the same or better than the way they found it.
