Great activity for Newton's Third Law. Just a quick and easy lab sheet for the classic balloon rocket lab for 8th grade physical science but also appropriate for high school physics and conceptual physics or for 5th-7th graders that have more than one class period. Includes materials needed, procedure and some questions for students to answer. I put two of these to a page so that paper can be saved. Just a simple lab - but one of the year's favorites!!

Kaplan's Think like a scientist as you observe a real live earthworm (nightcrawler)! Kindergarten, first, and second graders will love this hands on science activity. The lesson can be scaffolded by having Kindergarteners first observe the earthworm with a scientific tool (magnifying lens) and then complete the observation sheet with or without teacher help. The older children do the same, except think more critically by comparing the earthworm to a human- did you know earthowrms have 5 hearts?

Life Cycle Tic Tac Toe Menu

This menu is designed to provide anchor activities following a class project on Life Cycles. One of the easiest class projects to conduct is one on the life cycle of a beetle. You can buy about 100 mealworms from your local pet store for under $2.00. They feed on oatmeal. The students can watch them go through the same stages that a caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly. This menu is set up by Bloom's Taxonomy. In each activity box, you will see one of the following letters: E (Ev
